This year’s Fall Conference, Putting the Pieces Together: Bringing Equity and Intersectionality to Our Work, brought more than 200 advocates, preventionists, prosecutors, and BIP facilitators to Indianapolis. Keynote speakers Kelly Miller and Dr. Nkiru Nnawulezi started off each day of conference with insights of how we can bring equity and intersectionality to our work. Tuesday evening, we held a reception with silent auction – thank you to all of those who came out to support ICADV! On Wednesday, we presented our annual Outstanding Service Awards, with the prestigious Courage to Make a Difference presented to the Indiana School for the Deaf for their bullying prevention project. Thank you to all of the volunteers, presenters, and attendees who helped make the 2017 conference a success! We’re looking forward to returning in 2019 and hope you will join us!
This month, ICADV has been promoting prevention and support for survivors through the Make Your Purple POP campaign. We’ve been sharing ideas about how you individuals and communities can Participate, Organize, and Prevent domestic violence this October. To learn more, visit our webpage under “Events” and take a look at the campaign toolkit. And be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
