Economic Justice Project

In order to assist victims of domestic violence in achieving economic self-sufficiency and move from victim to survivor, the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic (ICADV) has established a fund that addresses emergency transportation and housing needs of victims. It will include paying for transportation to emergency shelter and resources, relocation to a safe environment, and/or to reunite victims with their support system. In addition it can assist survivors who need to pay down debt, re-establish credit, pay uninsured medical costs, security deposits, and first month’s rents. Currently the fund is solely dependent on designated donations and fundraisers throughout the year. ICADV will continue to seek additional resources to support this vital project.

Access to these funds is through application by current ICADV member agencies. Applications will be reviewed in a timely manner and responses will likely occur within 5 business days. Applications must be submitted by agency staff. No applications will be accepted from individuals or clients, nor can incomplete applications be considered.
