Bi-lingual Case Manager

YWCA Northeast Indiana (Ft Wayne) is seeking a Case Manager, bi-lingual in Spanish, to provide non-residential adult and child clients with domestic violence support services to assist their process of moving from crisis to stability.  This position will work in a six county area in Northeast Indiana. Must function well in a multi-disciplinary organization; collaborate with other service providers; assist with presentations; maintain accurate and appropriate records; represent YWCA in community as assigned.  Prefer a BA/BS in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a directly related Human Services field, as well as a minimum of two years professional field experience in family violence services. YWCA of Northeast Indiana
Case Manager

We are looking for an experienced Case Manager to work 1st Shift (Monday – Friday 9am-5pm) or 2nd shift (Monday – Friday 3pm to 11pm).  These full-time positions will provide residential adult and child clients with domestic violence support services to assist them achieve their goals of moving from crisis to stability.  This position will work out of our residential facility and will take clients to various appointments and other meetings to assist in meeting their goals.  Duties will also include: facilitating education such as job training and life skills groups, collaborating with other service providers and stakeholders, maintaining compliance standards and accurate records.  Bachelor’s Degree in social work or related field required.  Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have a valid driver’s license and personal insurance.  Prior experience working in a crisis-oriented environment preferred. Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence
Bi-lingual (Spanish) Advocate, Protective Order Project

ICADV is seeking a temporary contract employee to work as Bi-lingual (Spanish) Advocate for Protective Order Project. Qualified candidate will have at least one year work related experience in domestic violence advocacy and fluent in Spanish.  Successful candidate will also have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to build rapport with clients and work independently in a multi-disciplinary setting. COBURN PLACE SAFE HAVEN
Transitional Services Advocate-Temporary

Reports to: Transitional Services Director
Position Status: Full-time, Exempt
The Transitional Services Advocates provide direct client advocacy, case management, and supportive programming for the adult residents, ensuring that program services are delivered in the spirit of Coburn Place’s guiding mission, vision, and values.
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.S.) in psychology, social work or other related field; and two plus year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Previous work with domestic violence intervention, response and/or prevention in a non-for-profit environment is preferred.
This temporary position will begin mid-March and end mid-October 2012.  Specific start and end dates unknown at this time.  May be the perfect opportunity for a graduate student.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Research, identify, recommend, and recruit activities and resources for adult supportive services.
• Ensure all program services are delivered according to a voluntary service model, are in compliance with all funding source guidelines, and are provided in the spirit of Coburn Place’s guiding mission, vision, and values.
• Ensure all adult clients receive proper intake and orientation into the program and an individual plan (including safety planning) is developed aimed at empowering each to achieve independence and long-term self-sufficiency.
• Maintain and market, to all adult residents, the full menu of supportive services available during their stay at Coburn Place.
• Ensure all required programming and client file documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Promote an open and supportive flow of communication within the Transitional Services program and with other Coburn Place departments.
• Ensure that the Transitional Services program is working in conjunction with the Children Services program in order to provide seamless and holistic supportive services to families residing at Coburn Place.
• Participate in regular Advocacy Team meetings to ensure a high-quality and comprehensive delivery of transitional services exists for each adult and child resident of Coburn Place.
• Participate in required training and continuing education opportunities.
• Provide advocacy and ongoing support to all residents.
• Participate with the department directors in the development and implementation of program strategic plans.
• Ensure program outcomes and data are accurately tracked and reported in a timely manner.
• Seek opportunities to educate and network the community about domestic violence and the Coburn Place program.
• Maintain effective working relationships with referral organizations to ensure that occupancy goals are met.
• Represent Coburn Place at community events and outreach opportunities in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
• Participate in general staff and department meetings.
• Provide back-up support to co-workers when needed.
• Respond to health, security, and facility emergencies as needed.
• Provide on-call support on a rotating basis with other staff, if required.
• Provide assistance to volunteers as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualities and Abilities Desired Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study required.
• Spanish-speaking ability required.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Experience working in domestic violence intervention, response, and/or prevention model.
