Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC Steps Up to Aid Indiana Victims of Domestic Violence
Victims of domestic violence often need assistance to break free from this violence. Many victims’ resources are limited because they are “controlled” financially by their abuser. In an effort to assist victims of domestic violence in Indiana to achieve self-sufficiency and move from victim to survivor, Bridgestone Retail Operations, LLC (BSRO) is “stepping up” to help remove one more barrier victims face by offering their Partners Plus Auto Care Savings Plan through a partnership with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV).
Partners Plus Auto Care Savings Plan offers savings on tires, auto maintenance and repairs at all 2,200+ company-owned Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Expert Tire and Wheel Works stores, nationwide.
Because of BSRO’s generous support, domestic violence advocates will be able to access this discount program for victims across Indiana.
“The lack of reliable transportation is a significant barrier for victims who are attempting to leave a violent relationship,” says Laura Berry, executive director of ICADV. “Having Bridgestone Retail Operations offer a discount to victims who may be financially limited could be life-saving.”
ICADV works to eliminate domestic violence through the implementation of prevention programs including public education, advocacy for system and societal change, influencing public policy and allocation of resources. Until the violence is ended, ICADV works to promote, strengthen and provide quality comprehensive services for member programs and all individuals affected by domestic violence across the state.
