ICADV is partnering with INCASA on this summer’s regional prevention education trainings. The trainings are free of charge (with lunch included) and programs that do not receive Rape Prevention & Education (RPE) funding will be compensated for mileage to travel to the nearest session. In addition to enhancing our understanding of prevention strategy, a goal of this training is to expand the prevention community. We hope that you will be able to attend and that you will bring a new colleague from your agency, or a partner from your community.
Each regional training is split into three sessions; morning training, working lunch, and afternoon panel. The morning session will allow participants to attend either an introductory or advanced prevention strategies training, per their comfort level. The working lunch session will feature a discussion on engaging men as allies in the prevention of domestic and sexual violence. The afternoon session will feature a panel of domestic and sexual violence advocates from around Indiana reporting on the work of their prevention programs, describing the successes and challenges that they encounter through their program development process.
